Weekend in Lindale

We took Rose to visit MeMe for the weekend. We had a family reunion to go to in Longview on Saturday afternoon. There were not many people at the reunion but Rose made herself at home after finding 3 wooden mallets on a shelf in the banquet room. After the reunion Rose stayed with MeMe while Clint and I went to visit Nate. It was a much needed relaxing weekend.

Rosie's Pool

We bought a kiddie pool for the back yard and Rose made it known very fast that the pool was her territory. The first night we had it we filled it up and let her go. She LOVED every minute of it. She did not want to get out and was in the water so long that we ended up giving her a bath outside in her pool.

Our honeymoon. FINALLY!!

Clint and I finally went on our honeymoon. We decided to go to Cozumel Mexico for our vacation. It was such a new experience for me considering I have never been out of the country and never seen the beach, which was long overdue. When we arrived at our hotel we went straight to the restaurant to have lunch sea side. It was literally the most beautiful thing I have laid my eyes on (except for my three babies, of course.) We met another couple there on there honeymoon the first night and had fun with them all night. The next morning, at 8am we were off. We took a cab to downtown Cozumel and then hopped on a fairy over to Plya. It was so gorgeous there, we shopped and walked along the beaches most of the day. The rest of the trip we went non stop. We rented a scooter and drove around the entire island. We snorkeled at the different reefs and we even para sailed, which we both loved. We spent the evenings at our hotel relaxing by the beach. I couldn't think of a better way for Clint and I to celebrate our love for each other.

Linus Brown

We were EXTREMELY surprised when Kaylee's Aunt Janell brought us a kitten as a present to say the least. We named him Linus and we made him a part of our family. About ten days after having Linus we realized that he was very sick. We decided to take him to the vet where we were told that he was not going to make it. It was hard to explain to Kaylee that her little friend had past and she was very upset. The day after her new kitty passed we went grocery shopping and as luck would have it, there was a man outside of the grocery store with a box full of FREE kittens. Clint and I were relieved that there was no longer a kitten in the house, but our daughter was distraught so we made a family decision and let Kaylee pick out a new "Linus" from the box of kittens. There were 6 kittens in all, a black, two tabby, 2 grey, and one that looked like a cow. Kaylee instantly fell in love with the little cow cat and the rest is history. We have all loved having him here. He has been declawed and neutered and it is safe to say he gets along quite well with Charlie.

Rose turn's 1!!!

The words "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" have never been more true! Rose's big #1 was not exactly what we would have expected. The day started off great... she played in the floor with Charlie all morning as we decorated for her party. As the guest started to arrive, Rose started to get, well, upset. She played for a good 20 minutes with a few of her friends and then she was done for the day and she let us know it. She loved watching the candles on her cake being lit but was not such a fan of the singing. She had a rough time with her birthday presents as well. We decided to lay her down for a nap and everyone enjoyed the rest of the party, especially MeMe, hehe. After Rose napped for a good 2 hours she woke up refreshed, enjoyed some cake and spent the evening in the back yard riding in her new wagon. Rose... we love you!! It has been such a blessing to have a beautiful, energetic, loving little lady running around the house for the past year. :)
