Sunday Funday

This morning we all got up and drove out to Bass Pro Shop to meet PaPa. Uncle James had spent the night so he was with us too. When we got there the kids fed the giant Catfish in the pond outside and went fishing. When we got inside we took the girls down to the huge tanks on the lower level and they both were amazed by the giant catfish swimming around right in front of them. A few of the fish even came up to the glass and got up close and personal. It was fun spending time with PaPa and Uncle James. After we left the store we all went and ate at Snuffers. Yummy. What a great afternoon with the kiddos.

1st game of the season

Tonight was the first game of the season. It was at Standridge stadium. The game ended up lasting three and a half hours long on a Thursday night, but the kids did great. Sean and Kaylee found plenty of new friends to play with and Rose kept mommy very busy throughout the entire game. The Trojans were up 21-7 at the half, but they struggled at the very end of the game. The end result was Keller Central 24 and Newman Smith 21. The kids were so excited when the game was over to run out on the field to see Clint. The first game ended in a loss but all in all it was a good night.

First day of Second grade!

At the elementary school that Sean goes to they have what is called a block schedule. With a block schedule the students have the same teacher and classmates two years in a row before switching. Normally Sean would have the same teacher this year as last, but last year we were less then pleased with his teachers lack of organization and motivation so we requested that he be moved to a new class this year. Sean was extremely excited and nervous about going to school this morning. When I picked him up from school this afternoon he was smiling from ear to ear. He loves his new teacher and his new classmates and he made the transition so easy for everyone. We are so proud of him for all of his achievements and wish him the BEST YEAR EVER!

Little Poser

Kaylee loves, loves, loves the camera. She will think of any reason to get dressed up and take pictures. Here are just a few.

Sprinkler

Tonight the kids played in the sprinkler in the backyard. All three of them love the water. Kaylee asked us if she could put some shoes on before she got in the water and we said yes. Five minutes later she came walking out of the house in bright red cowboy boots and her swimsuit. She looked so cute that we couldn't tell her to take them off. Rose has a new game now that consists of taking EVERYTHING that Kaylee is trying to play with out of her hands. If Kaylee doesn't give up the toy she is playing with, Rose screams and throws a fit. It is kinda comical. Needless to say.... Rose ended up with both sand buckets in the sprinkler and Kaylee none.

1st Scrimmage

Tonight was the first scrimmage. Rose, Uncle James, and I went. Rose had a blast. We sat at the very bottom and she ran up and down the walkway all night long. She absolutely loves the cheerleaders and had so much fun watching them perform right in front of her. The Trojans look good and we are all hoping they have a fantastic season. After the scrimmage was over we took Rose down to see her daddy. She was SO excited!

Little Builder

Up until last Sunday all of the toys in Rose's bedroom have been kept in huge plastic totes. They were ugly and Rose was never able to get to the bottom of the bends to get the toys that she wanted to play with. As luck would have it, last Saturday while we were at Target picking out a baby gift for baby Lyles, they happened to have the perfect shelves for Rose's room on sale. On Sunday morning when we woke up Clint started to put the shelves together and was joined by a very small and eager helper. Rose went behind Clint after everything that he did and re-did what he had already done. She was just checking to make sure daddy was putting her new furniture together right. It was too cute to watch her trying to screw in already screwed in screws with her own screw driver. Rose and daddy did such a good job and she LOVES being able to get to all of her favorite things now.

The summer of WATER!

This summer was filled with water, water, and more water. The kids spent the entire summer in water of some shape, size, or form. We were surprised that the three of them did not turn into little fish. The kids enjoyed pools in various back yards, the pool at the gym, and the pool at Aunt Heather and Uncle Nash's. They also had fun in the slip and slide that we put up in the back yard. They spent time at hide away lake and lake Levon. It is safe to say that they had their fair share of FUN in the SUN this year.
