Christmas and Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve at our house was so much fun. We had MeMe, NaNa, PaPa, Uncle James, Uncle Nash, Aunt Heather, Carson, and baby Cali over to celebrate. We kicked of the night with homemade Tamales, rice, beans, ham, potato casserole, and lots of cookies. After we ate the kids all sat down at the kitchen table and made cookies for Santa.

Afterwards we celebrated our Christmas Eve with MeMe... she really does go all out for holidays.

and of course she out did herself with Kaylee's room and with her gift to Sean. He opened a box with a wallet in it that was full of paper shavings and one dollar bills. He was so excited to sit down and count the money somewhere that he could hardly contain himself.

While Cali kept her eyes wide open with amazement from the wrapping paper chaos that surrounded her...

Christmas Eve ended with the kids entertaining themselves with Sean pulling them around on a blanket across the floor... all this new stuff, and all they really needed was a blanket and an imagination. :)

The kids woke up Christmas morning sooo excited to see what he had brought, they checked his cookies and milk tray and opened their stockings. They were so excited.

Then we went ahead and opened presents....

Even snowball hung out with us Christmas morning... especially after Rose decided she was going to still his crate.

We finished up Christmas morning with a big batch of homemade donuts and bacon. :)

Kaylee's Bedroom

MeMe surprised Kaylee for Christmas with a Bedroom Makeover Addition; princess style. Aunt Heather and Uncle Nash gave us their spear bed that was in Cali's room and we decided to make it into a big girl bed for Kaylee. MeMe came over for Christmas Eve and set up her bed and walls with bright, beautiful polka dots and pretty pink princess wall decor. Kalyee was so excited when we finally let her see the room and she absolutely loves it. She was so happy about her new big girl bedroom that she had a hard time waiting until Christmas was over to show off her room to her best friend down the street.

Pictures with Santa

It has become a yearly tradition in our house to take pictures with Santa at the Bass Pro Shop. They set up an entire workshop in the bottom half of the store and the kids get to make Christmas ornaments and see Santa. We got there about an hour before Santa was to arrive and were able to take pictures with him first. Sean and Kaylee were excited to see him and we wish we could say the same for Rose. As soon as we put her in his arms, she literally started to freak out. She was absolutely scared to death of him, but it gave all of us a pretty good laugh. Hopefully next year she will be old enough to understand who Santa is and she will not be so scared of him. Our afternoon turned out great and the kids enjoyed spending time with PaPa and Uncle James.
