Chad and Kristen's Wedding!

As a coach's wife you quickly learn to make friends with the other wives as quickly as possible because in this business... you never know how long they will be around. Coach's are often moving school's, cities, and sometimes states. The first year I met Clint he worked with a coach named Chad Hunter at North Mesquite High School. Even after meeting him only a few times it was easy to see that him and Clint had an awesome friendship and that he was an all around good guy. As soon as I met his girlfriend Kristen, we quickly hit it off. We became good friends and sat together at most of the games. After that first year of meeting Chad and Kristen, I learned before summer that he would be moving to a different school. I did not see Kristen but both Chad and Clint and Kristen and I kept in touch over that next year. As luck would have it... Clint got a job the following year at the same school that Chad had moved to and they have spent the last two years coaching together. Kristen has become my game watching partner at pretty much every game for the past two season's and she quickly took on the roll of helping me a great deal with Sean, Kaylee, and Rose at the games whenever I needed. We have become very close to both of them and were excited when Chad asked Kristen to marry him during football season last year. Today was the big day and it was so great to be a part of this amazing couples special day!

Clint and I stayed at the Marriott for the evening and we were on one of the top floors with a balcony off of the room and pretty nice views all around.

After a quick nap and Clint and I both got ready we headed to Oak Lawn United Methodist Church for the wedding. It was a beautiful church with stadium seating and a large balcony overlooking the entire ceremony.

The reception was held at Cityplace Tower in downtown Dallas. Clint and I had never been inside the building before and the festivities were being held on the 43 floor of the building. The very very TOP! It was absolutely amazing.

Of course the best part of the wedding for me was getting to see what the bride and groom picked out for the wedding cake design. So here they are...The beautiful cakes!

We were surrounded by beautiful scenery from every window in both the cocktail and reception rooms.

Fun with the bride and groom and our friends!

Coach Lawrence, Coach Brown, Coach Hunter, and Coach Neuman!

The wedding and the reception were absolutely beautiful. I even managed to snap a few shots of the cocktail ballroom where all the guest had drinks and appetizers before entering the main ballroom for dinner and dancing.

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Chad Hunter!

Rose Turns TWO at the Dallas ZOO!!

Today is officially Rose's birthday and since Sean was at NaNa and PaPa's, and Kaylee had her best friend Carley stay over, we decided to pack the girls up and spend the day at the zoo. It was a fantastic girls day out... and daddy of course. Our first stop at the zoo was the Nature Train that goes all around the park and is suspended in the air. The girls really enjoyed riding around way up high and looking in on all of the animals.

After the Nature Train there was no slowing down for Rose. She managed to get a snack in somehow while walking.

In the kids zone at the Dallas zoo there is a large stream that runs through a small kids park. We brought the girls suites today so the could do a little splish splashing.

We visited the petting zoo after the playing in the water. This is one of Rose's favorite places to go in the zoo. She absolutely LOVES the goats even though every time she sees them, her eyes light up, she points, and says DOG.

Right before we left the zoo for the day the girls rode the Carousel at the entrance.

Happy Happy Birthday to our sweet baby girl! We love you so much Rose!

Amanda's Dress

Amanda has asked me to be her maid of honor and with that comes all the wedding responsibilities. The first one to check off of the list was finding "the dress". Now I can't exactly tell you if we found "the one" or if we did if it is any of these beautiful dresses or not, but it was a great day. When we first arrived Amanda sat down and began to fill out the first packet of paperwork ever stating that she is an engaged woman and she is getting married. Kaylee came with us because, well, it's Kaylee... and we were going to a store full of dresses. She had so much fun helping Aunt Amanda out with the dresses and accessories.
