Memorial Day Weekend!

This weekend we went and spent some time at PaPa's house. The kids really like going over there because there is so much for them to do. Rose enjoyed some one on one time with PaPa. They exchanged shoes on the portch swing and Rose let PaPa fix her hair. The kids were excited to make their very own bedroom in the middle of the living room and they even helped make chocolate chip cookies for the Memorial Day Party. Charlie... our extremely hyper active lab ran around until he finally wore himself out, which for him is very rare.

Kaylee and Rose made funny aces on the portch swing.

The tree swing at PaPa's house was a HUGE hit.... the girls did NOT want to get off of it!! I was able to get some really good pics of them while they were swinging.

Every year we look forward to going to Scott and Krista's annual Memorial Day Bash! The kids are getting older and this year they had so much fun. Rose was extremely excited to see MeMe and she even let her cuddle with her and hold her like a baby. They swam, ate, swung on the tire swing, jumped on the trampoline, played in the sandbox, and all around had a great time. My favorite part of our time spent there was watching Kaylee and Maddox together. They have become such good friends and whatever one of them does, the other follows. Maddox was obsessed with wearing a huge Tee shirt after she was done swimming, so of course it was only natural for Kaylee to want to wear one too.

Our last night and morning in Lindale was a full day of fun at MeMe's! We went to the park, played dress up in the living room, watched movies on a pallet in the floor, and of course it is not a true family event for the cousins unless we manage to squeeze as many of the grand kids as we can together in the bath tub. I am still not sure what is so much fun about bath time, but all of the kids absolutely LOVE IT!

Sumer's Shower

Today was Sumer's baby shower. She is due in six weeks and will be blessed with a baby girl. Kynleigh Mae. We absolutely cannot wait for her to get here.

Josh and Amanda

Last night both Josh and Amanda's families came together for one big night of celebration. We were celebrating the return of Lt. Josh Frank from Afghanistan as well as his birthday. The night started off great with good food and company. After everyone was finished eating Josh called everyone out to the back to make a toast. He began by thanking everyone for coming out and then he pulled Amanda front in center with him. He began by telling her how much he loves her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her.... and then he dropped to one knee. You can pretty much guess what happened next. She said YES!!!

I got to spend some quality time with my cousin's Amanda and Sumer.

And of course there was the cake....

Good old family love as Uncle Kenny, Micheal, and Jeff pose for a picture.

At the end of the night the newly engaged couple danced together.
