Clint has the unique opportunity to be a mentor and role model to kids every single day. Last night wrapped up the season with the Newman Smith football banquet. Our house becomes a single parent home every year from the middle of May until the end of November-December. We make sacrifices as a family and last night I was reminded why. It brought tears to my eyes as I sat and listened to the football players that Clint coaches day in and day out stand up in a banquet room full of people and give speeches about how much of an impact "Coach Brown" has had in their lives. I realized in that moment that my husband has the most rewarding career in the world. The Trojan football team had their first winning season in 26 years, they had the greatest Turn-A-Round in the state of Texas, the most wins in a single season in NSHS History, Advanced further than any school in Farmers/Carrolton Branch history, Had the most points in one season (499), had the player of the week seven times in the Dallas Morning News, 20 Players on 10-4 A District Team, 3 Players on the AP All State Team, 11 Academic 10-4 A All District, and 7 Academic All State. :) What a tremendous accomplishment for all of the players and coaches that worked countless hours to make those dreams come true!!!
