Candyce turns 22!

Tonight we went over to Liz and Danny's to celebrate Candyce turning 22! We all sat around outside by the pool and caught up with each other. We played water volleyball all night and Clint and I experienced a new way to play quarters. The night was fantastic and everyone had a great time.

Rose and Ava

My mother has had a best friend Liz since before I was born. I grew up knowing her only as Aunt Liz. She use to babysit me when I was little and in her words "wipe my butt." When I turned five she had a daughter Candyce who has been my friend for twenty two years now. We literally grew up together and we both have girls that are 6 weeks apart now. Candyce's husband Jeff is in the military and is stationed in California so when she is in town we try and spend as much time together as we can. Her daughter Ava and our sweet Rose had a great time over the weekend getting to know each other.

River Walk and Rain Forest Cafe

Today Clint had coaches meetings at the convention center on the River Walk so Sean, Kaylee, and I took the opportunity to explore. Rose stayed with Paulette for the morning and the 4 of us headed to downtown. Sean and Kaylee loved every second of it. First we went on the River Boat and then it was off to the kids park where we found an old buggy full of popcorn, candy, and snow cones, oh my! We looked at all of the ruins and checked out the Tower of the Americas. Surprisingly the kids favorite part was a little spot we found right next to the convention center where there were waterfalls and a little stream full of HUGE goldfish. At noon Clint was done with his meetings so we took a walk down to Rain Forest Cafe (Sean and Kaylee have never been.) The kids LOVED eating in a very much alive and active Rain Forest. Their favorite part of lunch was every 10 and 30 minutes when all of the animals came to life and there was a thunder/lightening storm. It was a GREAT last day in San Antonio!

Charles and Paulette's PIANO!

For some reason all three kids were OBSESSED with the Nash's piano. Somehow they always managed to end up on the bench making "sweet, sweet" music for everyone to hear. We had a Fantastic time staying with Uncle Chris's mom and dad. They were absolutely wonderful to us the entire time we were in San Antonio.

The Browns visit the Browns

We were able to spend SO much time with Blake, Megan, Carter, and Addie during our visit to San Antonio. Sean and Carter were busy in the back yard with golf and the water hose while Addie and Kaylee enjoyed the sand box and water buckets. We went to the park and had dinner together at a BBQ restaurant that just happened to have a playground out back for the 5 kids. We went swimming in the pool across the street and Aunt Megan made everyone a delicious enchilada picnic dinner to eat pool side. YUMMY! It was so wonderful to all be able to have the chance to spend so much time together and the kids made unforgettable memories with their AWESOME cousins!

Sea World Baby!

After our long drive into San Antonio Thursday night we hit the sack and all woke up bright and early for our BIG day at Sea World. We met Uncle Blake and Addie at the dolphin tank a few minutes before the park opened and the kids fed the dolphins appetizing fish. Afterwards it was off to the shark tank, Rose was in awe as she watched all of the big beautiful fish swim past her. We then tried to make a 4D shark show at 10:30, but "boring" does not even half way describe this show. Uncle Blake, Clint, Addie, Sean, and Kaylee all went to ride the Farris Wheel. Sean and Addie did great on it but Kaylee did not like being up so high. At around 11:30 we all went to the cafe for lunch and Uncle Blake and Addie went home. We decided after we ate that we were ready to swim. The lazy river, wave pool, and water pirate ship were by far all three kids favorite part of the day. At around three we went and saw the Beluga whale show and then we finished our day with Shamu. At age seven, four, and one Sea World was a BLAST! All three kids did so well considering we were at the park for almost nine hours.
