Sean

For the past couple of months Sean has had a severe twitch in his eyes. We took him to the pediatrician and he recommended that we take Sean to see a Pediatric Neurologist. Today was his appointment and he did absolutely great. He has been diagnosed with Chronic Tics Disorder and early onset of Turret's Syndrome. These short-lasting sudden movements (motor tics) occur suddenly during what is otherwise normal behavior. Tics are often repetitive with numerous successive occurrences of the same action. For instance, someone with a tic might blink his eyes multiple times. There may be other symptoms that present as time goes by such a vocal tics. He is taking medicine everyday now and he seems to be perfectly fine. I think as parents, we worry way more than he does.
