Trip to Tyler

This Friday was a relaxing girls night out followed by a trip to Tyler on Saturday. Saturday morning we woke up and Rose washed off with daddy in the big shower, she thought it was so NEAT to be in there with him. She was laughing and giggling the entire time. Afterwards we packed up and headed to Tyler to spend the night with Papa. On the way in we stopped at Firestation and Rose enjoyed crawling around Papa's office and playing in all of the different types of chairs. Later that evening Clint and I went to eat with friends for Nate's birthday and we left Rose with Papa to spend some quality time together. After dinner we headed back to Lance's and had a nice relaxing evening together. Sunday we hung out for a bit and headed back home.It was a nice little weekend retreat.

Clint's Birthday

Clint is the big 32!!! His birthday this year fell on an awkward day for us because it happened to be the last day of my speech class and I had to take my final. I attempted for a few weeks to make plans for his birthday but he ended up having a track meet on Saturday and did not get home until almost nine and I was gone most of the day on Sunday. Needless to say that because of such a high stress levels due to having to take a comprehensive final, I was not the greatest wife to be around on Clint's birthday. I pretty much made Clint's birthday experience less than Happy. I woke up this morning feeling really bad about how the events had unfolded the previous day and decided that my hubby should have a birthday DO-OVER. I called my dad and got him to come over and help me out all day while I scrambled to get the house in order, balloons, cards, presents, and a huge steak dinner ready for Clint when he got home from work. I called Heather and her and Carson were able to come over and the entire night was a success. It was good to spend time with my dad.... my parents got Clint a plaque for the pool room that was fantastic. Carson, Sean, and Kaylee played all night together and we enjoyed watching Aunt Heather eat ice cream from her belly! The Birthday DO-OVER was definitely the way to go. Happy BIRTHDAY Clint!! I LOVE YOU!!

Sean's Valentines Day Party

Sean's Valentines Day party was moved to the Friday after Valentines due to the 8 inches of snow last Friday that ended up closing his school. The kids had so much fun at his party, all of the kids in the class were fascinated with Rose and played with her on the floor. The kids in the class all got to make there own ice cream Sundays and pass out Valentines. What a great way to end the school week. :)

Valentines Day!!

Let's just say that when Clint and I make plans to do something together (alone) something always seems to go wrong. Well, Valentines Date night was NO exception. Clint planned an entire romantic evening for the two of us and my parents were set up to watch Rose. Unfortunately we ended up at PrimaCare and I had to get a shot of steroids for a severe sinus infection. Rest, fluids, and meds were the three main components of the night that we ended up spending together. The kids on the other hand have had a FANTASTIC Valentines Day!! Rose was busy playing with a ginormous balloon the Clint got me, and all the kids enjoyed opening their gifts from Clint and I and NaNa and PaPa! The best present of the day were the singing boxers that Clint got for PaPa, when he opened them up, they sung "That's the way, uh,hu, I like it, Uh,Hu, Uh,Hu!

Snow Day (Round 2)

This morning we woke up to 8 inches of snow. Wylie and Carrollton school districts were both closed so the whole family was excited to spend the day together. We invited our neighbors for breakfast and Carson and Nash (Aunt Heather had to work). We had French Toast, Bacon, and biscuits with Sausage and egg white gravy. :) After breakfast we all layered up in warm clothes and headed outside for some more fun in the snow. We built an even bigger snowman today, Kaylee named her Lucy. The kids played with their friends for a good part of the morning throwing snowballs and building snow castles. It was so beautiful outside!! After Sean and Kaylee left for the weekend Clint and I sat down and had a snowrita before going to dinner with Heather, Nash, and Carson. It was a GOOD Day!
